Essence & Friends

Award winning singer-songwriter Essence has been immersed in music and art since childhood. Having released six albums of original music on both independent and major labels, her forthcoming album “Father’s Daughter” is slated for release in Fall 2023. Fully steeped in the traditions of Appalachian, Americana and Country music, the album is an honest and at times humorous account of her losses and wins; to the bone and from the heart. Essence recently received national and international spotlights for her work with Bernie and the Believers through NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert series and BBC. “The story of Bernie and the Believers is the most powerful I've ever come across at the Tiny Desk.” - Bob Boilen, (host and creator of NPR's online music show All Songs Considered and NPR's Tiny Desk Concerts series.) She is also one half of the tribute project “Johnny and June Forever”, in partnership with Danny Uzilevsky shining light on the music and legend of Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash. Essence is also the proud mother of a beautiful son and daughter.

Candice Lamb

Candice Lamb is a singer-songwriter from Merced, CA who has been performing in the Central Valley for over 20 years.  She loves performing cover songs as well as some of her original music.  As a child, Candice was musically influenced by mostly soul and R&B, but has grown to love many genres over the years including folk, oldies, and alternative.  Singing was always her first passion and she enjoyed her high school years singing with the Merced High School Choir.  She learned how to play guitar and piano while attending Merced College.  In 2019 her band, Candice and The Passengers, was nominated for a Modesto Area Music Award.  In 2021, Candice was nominated for a Modesto Area Music Award for the Unplugged category.

Cheyenne Hernandez (and the Pura Vida Experience)

Cheyenne Hernandez is a traveler on a journey of self-discovery and evolution. The past 10 years of her life, especially, have brought great learning and profound healing. It is this growth that has become the foundation of her present musical expression. Cheyenne sees music as a vehicle for the remembrance and celebration of a deeper reality of which we are all a part: that we are all members of one human family. Beyond that, we are a part of all life on earth! Acceptance of this calls upon us to appreciate this universal family and to love and respect the mother that gave birth to it. Cheyenne sings  of all these things and of the beauty and sacredness of life.

Adriana & the Wildflowers

Adriana and the Wildflowers is a guitarist and poet. Her sophisticated songwriting takes audiences on a journey through the subconscious, while creating space for emotions big and small.

She believes in the therapeutic power of music. A self-taught artist from the Sierra Nevada foothills, she hopes her audience will see themselves in the stories she shares.

Téa Noelle

Téa Noelle is an emerging singer-songwriter, performer, and music producer from California.

With a warm and sultry vibe, smooth and refined vocals, and rhythmic acoustic guitar skills - she describes her versatile musical style as “indie RnB with a jazzy pop flow.”

Téa’s unique and captivating sound  and original songs tell an empowering story of release and growth, which inspired local playwright Summer Krafft, and the Center Stage Conservatory to create a full-length theatrical interpretation.

Four-time MAMA Award Winner, Téa continues performing festivals, concert halls, coffeehouses, house concerts, and private events throughout California, Téa studies audio engineering for live music and theater, and produces her own original music..

Ava Grace

Ava Grace is an award-winning collegiate singer-songwriter best known for her work with internationally acclaimed blues band, Gravel & Grace. Her multi-instrumental solo show spans many genres, with a focus on her alternative, folk, and indie original work.

The Jespersons

"The Jespersons" are an Indie Folk duo hailing from the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range.  Jared originally comes from a rock and jam band background in Southern California while Kaye comes from a folk, country and gospel background in New Zealand and Australia.  They met in the mountains around Yosemite in 2010 and have brought their musical styles together to form earthy, evocative and uplifting music.  Their sound consists of tight, rich vocal harmonies with rootsy and expressive instrumentation on cello, mandolin and guitar.  Their music is a combination of earthy folk with overtones of bluegrass, blues and jazz.

Channeling psychedelic cabaret dreampunk into her performance alter-ego, Grooblen, Stokes’ healing work braids themes that are reflective, surreal, pensive, and whimsical. Inspired by musical artists Fiona Apple, Frank Zappa, Jeff Buckley, and Genesis, critics have compared her work to “the intimacy of Joni Mitchell and intensity of K.D. Lang” (The Other Side Reviews) for her masterful connection with audiences.

Her work is a tangled testament to overcoming the ripples of traumatic experiences — sounds that soften and reset our rigid self-restriction as a trauma response to harmful experiences.
